Result and Felicitation of CNL:

The long awaited day for Centre For New Learning, Bengtol came with a lot of surprise to all. It was 27th May 2008. The school started as usual at 8:15 A.M. Teachers went about for their classes. At about 10:00 A.M. the teachers began contacting some of their colleagues in different places for the HSLC results. It was about 10:30 A.M. that some reports began to come in. It was around 11:45 that almost all the results came clear that all the 12 HSLC students passed and 10 of them with First Division. There was no limit to the happiness of the teachers and students alike. Immediately the students of the school were called down to the ground floor for a short assembly when the news of the success was made known to all the students. The students then were told to go home with good news.
The School Authority met together in the evening to decide as to how to celebrate the success of the students. It was then unanimously decided to felicitate all the students who passed their examination with first division, on the 31st May 2008. For the celebration a number distinguished guests were invited.

Hon’ble Mr. Kampa Borgoyary, the Deputy Chief of B.T.C. was invited as the Chief Guest of the occasion. He felicitated the First Div. students with the Bodo Traditional Aronai and books Wings of Fire by A.P.J. Kalam and R.Tiwari and Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The names of the students felicitated were Ms. Sudem Wary, Ms Dolly Basumatary, Ms. Dipali Basumatary, Mr.Dengkhw Basumatary, Ms. Thangki Juri Chamframary, Ms Sangina Islary, Mr.Lachit Narzary, Mr. Vivek Newar and Mr. William Narzary.

Just after the felicitation of the students the teachers were also felicitated by Mr.Loben Basumatary, MCLA, 13th Chirang Constituency. They were Mrs. Elizabeth Narzary, teacher of English, Mr. Manuel Baskey, History teacher,Mr.Hiteswar Ray, Mathematics teacher, Mr. Shiv Shankar Saha, Science teacher and Mr. Pranjal Daimari, Bodo teacher.
After the felicitation of the students and teachers, Mr. Loken Warie, a Trustee Member spoke about the Good Earth Education Trust which runs the school and gave brief information to the parents and guardian about the shift the School is heading for in the immediate future, to shift from the conventional method to the non-convention method of teaching and learning making use of the five senses.

The Chief Guest also gave a valuable speech on the occasion about the role of parents for a good education of the children. He said that it is not only the English Medium students who can do well in the examination. Even the students from the various vernacular medium can also do very well. The fact is that parents and guardians of the vernacular medium do not seem to take any interest about the education of their children. While on the other hand the parents of the English medium students take lot of care and interest. That is how the English medium students come out with good result. He also told the parents and guardians of the children that, of all the districts of Assam the result of Chirang district is the worst.

The Good Earth Education Trust was established on 23rd June 2006. The founder members of the Trust are Mr. Dominic Basumatary, Mrs. Ersilia Basumatary, Mr. Loken Warie and Mr. Albis Muchahary. The education scenario in the Bodoland Territorial Council is very bad. Quality educational center in the interior and backward area....
